::Tsunami Surf Relief::

Tsunami Surf Relief UK was set up by concerned surfers in the wake of the Indian Ocean tsunami disaster. We represent the UK's surfing community and are helping surfers, surf clubs and surf businesses to give something back to devastated areas of Asia.

Tsunami Surf Relief UK is not yet a registered charity - we are awaiting registration by the Charities Commission. Our objective is:
To relieve persons in all parts of the Indian Ocean who are in need, hardship or distress as a result of the tsunami seaquake on 26th December 2004.
We aim to focus our attention on specific projects and areas in order to make a real, long term difference.

Dave Reed of the British Surfing Association explains: "Many British surfers, professional and amateur alike, have spent time in Asia and know the areas and often the local families affected by this terrible disaster. They desperately want to show their support and give something back to those communities and Tsunami Surf Relief will provide a focus for that. Our aim is to support long term projects, using our local contacts and aid organisations on the ground to identify and deliver relief to specific communities."
